I was reading The Oracle by Cathrine Johnson, it was very good it is about a girl called Mirany, a musician called Oblek, a scribe called Seth, a God called Alexos and a skilled tomb raider called The Jackel. It is set in about 1406AD and everyone needs water as there hasn't been rain for ages so the God on earth (The Archon) has to sacrafise himself to find the Rainqueen and find rain. He is then reincarnated as a ten year old boy. Then there is a cremony to find him but there is a plot and somebody is trying to get their nephew the God so they can contol the crown. Finally the right God is chosen and rain comes.

I have been reading Storm-Voice by Judy Allen. This book was about a mother who has flashbacks from her childhood. Her daughter is dtermained to help stop this, so takes her mother to see her home town. I enjoyed this book very much as it was exciting and different. One of the main characters, Katie, has an adventurous personality and is determained to help her mother with her problem. Sarah, Katie's mother, is a kind hearted person but is scared to get to the root of her problem and doesn't really want to see her home town again. I don't normally read books about strange happenings, but after reading this book, I will definately read more like it. I thought this book was very exciting and I would certainly recommened it to anyone else. I think people around my age (12) would enjoy this book.

My favourite character was Ron Weasley because hes the funniest.I would recommend this book to everyone who likes an adventure book. This is my favourite book I have ever read and is the last book in the series so if you would like to read it read the other ones

I've been reading Trick of the Mind by Judy Waite. This book is about Erin who has just moved to the area but dosen't get acepted by the popular girls. She tries to impress them by doing magic tricks also so that Matt will notice her. Matt is anoutsider aswell but he hangs about with the popular boys so that Kirsty will notice him. I didn't really enjoy this book because i found it confusing and hard to read . I think this book would be suited to second year girls.

I have read the book Nudie Dudie by Michael Lawrence. I think it was a brilliant book as its content and characters were all very funny. The book is about a boy, Jiggy McGuie, who is given a pen from a celbrity visiting his school. The pen has a picture of a woman on it and every time he writes with it, her clothes disappear! This may sound funny, but every times Jiggy writes, his clothes disappear! He has to get rid of this pen, or his clothes will keep on disappearing. I won't tell you hiw the book ends, you will have to read it to find out.I found this book very entertaining and would recommend it to anyone at any age.

The book that I have been reading is Death or Glory boys by Treasa Breslin.
I really enjoyed the book as it shows the characters in many different situations. There are two main characters in this book, Sarah, one of these character, tells you about her story at home with her parents and her social life with her friends. Phil is the other main character, him and Sarah are begining to fall in love. The auther tells you about all of sarah's feelings about him and how they are getting closer closer together.
While Sarah is out with her friends,in a shop they over hear a phone call then they hear an explosion through the phone. All they could hear was screaming,a woman at the other end of the phone crying for help then, silence.
A few days later Sarah decides to join the cadets with her friend, while they are all walking out they overhear another phone call about a madman on the run letting off bomb. Christmas was coming up, while everyone was out skating, sarah and Phil get separated from the rest of their frinds as someone walks up and something happens...!
I would recomemnd this book to anyone.

The book was ok butI wouldn`t recomend it to anybody else. Joanna is the main character in the book, when her Mum dies her Dad remarries. Her step brother could have been sat beside her in class and then stared to fall in love with. Joanna`s stepmum is not very nice to her and she falls out with her step brother. In the end she falls in love with her and they go out with each other.

I have been reading Love Lessons by Jaqueline Wilson. I really enjoyed this book as it was funny, but it also made you feel very sorry for the main chracter, Prue. Prue and her little sister Grace are homeschooled by their dad, but when their dad has a stroke, they have to go to the local school. Grace fits in and gets friends straight away, but Prue is an outsider and doesn't fit in. She isn't very good at maths, but she is amazing at art. Prue can't wait to get to art, but not just because she is good at it - she has a crush on her art teacher Rax. When she starts babysitting for Rax's children, she longs for the ten minutes she and Rax are alone in the journey home...
I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone, any age. It was exciting and full of twists.

I have been reading Jane Eyre by Pauline Francis. This book was okay, but I found it a bit boring. It was about a young girl Jane who lived with her aunt as her parents had died. She is then sent to boarding school and spends the rest of her childhood at school. She then gets a job as governess at Thornfield Hall. At Thornfield Hall, she falls in love with the owner, Mr Rochester, but, will they ever be together? I found this book a bit boring, but the twist at the end was quite good. I would recommend it to people who are interested in history.

I have been reading a book called Starring Tracey Beaker by Jaqueline Wilson. It was a very good read and I thouroughly enjoyed it. It was about a very well known girl, Tracey Beaker, who gets a part in the school's Christmas show, A Christmas Carol, and not just any old part - Scrooge himself! Everything is going well until a fight with Justine Littlewood loses her part. Tracey tries everything to make it up to her teacher, but will she ever get the part back? Tracey is a very outgoing character and isn't scared to stand up for herself. I really enjoyed the book as it was funny and exciting. Jaqueline Wilson is a very good autor and all of the books I have read by her have never disappointed me. I would recommend this book to anyone at any age.

I have been reading Dear Olly, by Michael Morpurgo. It is about a boy, Matt, who decides to go to Africa to work at an orphanage and dress up in his famous clown costume, to make the children at the orphanage happy. Olly, his little sister, waits for his letters and watches over the swallows in their nest, just as she had promised Matt. Then, one day, the young swallow starts to fly, but esnds up falling to the ground and seriously injuring itself. Olly's mum, a vet, saves the bird's life, and puts a small red ring around it's leg. Olly calls it Hero. SHe knows that if Hero comes back the next year, she will know. Back in Africa, Matt forms a special bond with one of the young boys, Gahamire, and has a soft spot for him. But when Gahamire runs away to the mountains to find his mother, it's a race against time for Matt to try and find him. I really enjoyed this book and found it very interesting as it is told in three parts : Matt's story, Olly's story, and Hero's story. I think this setout is very different and it makes the story more effective. I would recommend this book to anyone around 12 or 13 years old. Matt is a very thoughtful character and always puts other people's felling before his own. Olly is a nature friendly, animal lover and cares about the swallows when Matt leaves. Hero is an energetic swallow and, on the way to Africa, he loses his family, and has to go the rest of the journey on his own.

I read the book called The Lion,The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S Lewis.
I thought the book wasnt that good because i think it was too far fecthed. The children were very young but they used very grown up words.
It was a children book but with high-tech words for young characters.
Basically what happens in the movie is 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) go to live with a scientist and then play a game of hide and seek then one of the children then hides in the cupboard then they all go in after a peek and go into the world of Narnia!

He collects the evidence and everything points to one family - The Sharkeys. The Sharkeys have a reputation for crimes, but Half Moon can't point the finger without more evidence.
This book was okay, but it was very long and drawn out. I think it would be more for boys.

I have been reading the book Words Last Forever by Malorie Blackman. It is a book of short stories about families and horror. My favourite story was Dad, Can I Come Home? It was about a girl, Eve, who is fighting in the war in outer space and phones her dad. She uses a video phone but tells her Dad that it is broken. She tells him that the war is over and she can come home. He is over the moon at this news. Eve then tells him that her friend, Janice, came back to save Eve when their ship crashed, and ended up losing both legs and an arm, and Eve asks if she can come home with her. Eve's dad says no, as it would be too much trouble. This upsets Eve, but the decision is final.
The next day, Eve's dad gets a call from Janice. She says that Eve has commited suicide. Strangely, the video phone is working. Janice reads Eve's dad a note that Eve has left him. It says : Sorry Dad. I love you. You've explained everything to me very carefully and I think this is the best solution for everyone. Then, Eve's dad finds out that it wasn't Janice who had lost both legs and an arm, but Eve.
I really enjoyed this book and would reccomend it to anyone.

I have been reading the book 'Colour Her Dead' by Celia Rees. It is about 2 girls, Jude and Emma, investigating a murder case from over two decades ago. It is about a six year old girl, Jennifer Beresford, who was brutally kidnapped and murdered in 1968. The book also follows the story of Jude's love life with a boy called Ben Cooper. Their relationship starts to break away Emma and Jude's friendship. As they investigate more and more into the case, they discover that the killer is more than happy to kill again to keep the investigation unsolved. I think this was quite a good book as it was quite scary at some parts. Celia Rees described the events and places very well and painted a picture of the town very well. I would recommend this book to many people, at ages from 12 - 16. This book isn't really aimed at boys or girls, it is for all.

A book I have read recently and enjoyed is Skeleton Key by Anthony Horowitz. The book is about a boy called Alex Rider who has had to change from schoolboy to a top class English spy.He has to travel all over the world;sometimes to solve just one case or mission.I liked this book because it was very tense and exciting .It also gave you an idea of what being a spy was like.overall I enjoyed reading the book and thought it was also a very good book.
