The book I am reading in class is called UFO's.
] It tells you how, where and what to do when spotted.
First the most common 'Hotspot' to spot UFO's is in the Canary Islands off the west-coast of the Continent Africa. There isn't a way you spot UFO's its usually just your luck. Then what you do when you spot a UFO is record all of the details of the what you saw and record the date, time and exact location of the sighting.
This book was very interesting and very, very educational.

"Poison" by Chris Wooding.

Poison is the main character in the story. She is a wild and contrary girl who can also be stubborn and argumentative. She was pale and slender with long black hair. Poison's eyes are described beautifully: "great dark eyes of shocking violet."

This story is set in a village called Gull in the black marshes. It was a peacful place.

When Poison had turned fourteen, that's when she changed her name. Her original name was Foxglove but it was a tradtion for the people of Gull to change their name on their fourteenth birthday. This was an interesting part of the story.

When Poison discovers that her little sister has been kidnapped by phaeries, it's her job to seek out the Phaerie Lord and get her little sister back.

I liked this book because of the interesting plot and crazy characters.

Proccessions of the Dead
D.B.Shan

This book is the first book in "The City" series. It is about a young man called Capac Riami who goes to "The City" to meet his uncle Theo to learn how to become a successful gangster. Near the begining of the book his uncle Theo is shot and killed by the most successful gangster in "The City" who is called the Cardinal. Then the Cardinal takes Capac to be his right hand man.

There are loads of interesting characters in the book. I think Y Tse is the most interesting character in the book.

The book is very good and has loads of exciting moments in it. The book has quite alot of bad language in it.

The book is amazing and I would ddefinetly recomend it to people who like Darren Shans book.

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" by J.K Rowling.

Harry is a wizard. He is a scruffy 14 year old boy who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. One night in the summer holidays, his scar starts to hurt when he has a strange dream.

His best friend, Ron Weasley, has invited him to stay at the Burrow with him and his family to get ready for the Quidditch World Cup Final. Harry, Ron's family and another of Harry's best friend Hermione, are all excited to be at the World Cup Final. When they return to their tent, a group of death eaters, Voldermort's followers, are on the loose. The camp is in panic but Harry and the gang return home safely.

On September 1st, Harry, Ron and Hermione get on the Hogwarts Express and return to school. Also another two wizarding schools have arrived at Hogwarts, the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang schools. They have turned up for a very special event, the Triwizard Tournement.

Everything seems fine when Harry's name is mysteriously entered in the Goblet of Fire which means he has to endure 3 dangerous tasks. The first task is to retrive a golden egg from a Hungarian Horntail dragon, the second was to rescue Ron from Mermaids and the third was a maze. In the maze was the triwizard cup. He and Cedric Diggory, another Hogwarts contender, had reached the cup first. In the end they decided to grab the cup together and it transported them to a graveyard.

It was the same graveyard, Harry had dreamed about in the summer. Harry's scar started to hurt and he knew Voldermort was around. Wormtail, a servant of Voldermort's, killed Cedric. Voldermort came back to life and him and Harry dueled each other and Harry eventually got away but who but his name in the Goblet of fire???

Read to find out! (Or watch the movie!)

One bad rat is about a young teenager called Helen Potter who runs away from home because her dad abuses her. She gets in with alot of bad crowds and takes drugs. Along the way she finds a rat and keeps it for a pet. One day she runs away from the city and gets so tired she passes out in a barn then an old man finds her and takes her to his hotel and looks after her.

My book is called Flour Babies and it is writen by Anne Fine :).

This book is about the annual school sicence fair that Mr Cartright's class don't get to on the Soap Factory, the Maggot Farm or the Exploding Custard Tins this is to there disgust they get the Flour Babies. Young Simon Martin a committed hooligan approaches the task with little enthusiasm. He also learns more than he ever could have thought.

I thought that this book was ok. It wasnt really that good. After a little while the book became boring and i did no longer want to read on. I think taht this book should be for older children as it has big words in it and is difficult to read. I dont think that i will read this book again but a would reccomend an "Anne Fine" book beacuse she is norrmally a good Autor.

The Knowledge of Wicked World Cups
by Micheal Coleman

This is one of the best football books I have ever read. It is all about the past World Cups from 1930-1998 with all the added extras and a bit of humour. It has lots of funny drawings to reflect on the best bits of the tournament and has a number of different facts like if you bought a programme fof 12 and a half pence it would be worth over £50. It has hundreds more facts but you will have to get the book and find out. I recommend this book to anyone who likes funny factual football books.

Title: Journey of the River Sea

Author: Eva Ibbotson

I was reading a book called Jouney of the river sea. The Genre of this book was Adventure.
Tyhe book was about a little girl called Maia. The girls in Maia's class told her what to expect before she went on her voyage through the Brazillian Jungle. The mosquitos were the size of of a small armadillo and if they bite you, you turned yellow like a lemon and perished slowly.
Maia did this journey with her parents. Both of her parents died due to these mosquitos, leaving Maia to go on this trek to get home by herself!
I thought this book was fabtastic. Read it. You will not want to put it down.

Title- Sharks

Consultant- Ian K. Fergusson

I was reading a book called Sharks of which i got for Christmas.
It informed me about, all of the different varieties of Sharks and what they do.I.E. Some Sharks give birth to live offspring, called Pups, whereas others lay capsules called "Mermaid Pouches." Also, it told me about all of the different shapes and sizes of Sharks there are. The most commonly know Shark is the Blue Shark ( Prionace Glauca). The Hammer Headed Shark gets its name, oblviously, because its head it shaped like a hamnmer, and the saw Spouted Shark also gets its name as it has a spout shaped like a saw
This book was very educational and it is vary enjoyable.

This book was an emotional rollercoaster, but a very good book to read
The coming years will test him to his limits, as he endures mistreatment, neglect and forced labour in the Australian outback. But Arthur is also saved, again and again, by his love of the sea. And when he meets a nurse whose father owns a boat-building business, all the pieces of his broken life come together.

Now, at the end of his life, Arthur has built a special boat for his daughter Allie, whose love of the sea is as strong and as vital as her father's. Now Allie has a boat that will take her to England solo, across the world's roughest seas, in search of her father's long-lost sister. Will the threads of Arthur's life finally come together?
I really enjoyed this book and would definetly read a book of this genre of book again.
